In this post, I am going to show you how to install HomeScope on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install HomeScope using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "HomeScope" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

1、Blue tooth pairing

2、Visit a key call.
When visitors ring the doorbell, they will initiate a video request to the APP, which can be sent to the APP for real-time viewing, whether the host is at home or in the office.At the same time, the device will automatically record 10 seconds of video, so that it can play back the historical record when the user is not available.

3、Audio and video calls.
After the request is connected, the visitor and host can have one-way video and two-way voice calls.
The host can see the visitor's video and hear the visitor's voice through the APP, but the visitors can only hear the master's voice and cannot see the master's video.

4、Active view of APP
The device is in standby mode when there are no visitors, and it only keeps the low-power heartbeat connection.
The owner can be anywhere, can connect the Internet to the place, via the app actively to check the doorbell of video.
When the host opens the APP and enters the system interface, the doorbell will be aroused remotely and the video link can be established with the APP.

5、Historical playback
Each time a visitor presses the doorbell, the doorbell automatically records a 10-second video, and the user can see all of the device's historical access records, connect the device at any time, and obtain the historical records.

6、P2P transmission
The device and APP use P2P transmission technology, which is safe and reliable without any third party server.When the connection is established, the APP and the doorbell can realize point-to-point transmission through P2P penetration technology, thus avoiding the possibility of data leakage of sensitive privacy.

7、Family circle management.
The doorbell supports Shared access by family members.Only administrators have permissions to add and remove members.
The added member and the administrator together form the family circle, can actively check the doorbell video, initiate video call.When visitors ring the doorbell, everyone can receive a push notification, all of which can answer video.

8、PIR monitoring
PIR hangs on the MCU, and the PIR keeps working monitoring when the door bell is on standby. When the object is detected, the main control is activated through MCU, and the main control is transmitted to the App.
