Public policy

Public Policy is a field of study that was born around the 1920s. However, there are also those who claim that this field was born between the 1950s and 1960s. There are at least three disciplines, which appear earlier, always associated with the birth of policy studies (public) namely Public Administration, Political Science and Economics. Apart from which science debate is its parent, in fact the policy study (public), which was born in the United States, experienced rapid development including in developing countries such as Indonesia. The various definitions of public policy, and the most popular are as formulated by Thomas R. Dye, that, "public policy is anything that is chosen by the government to do or not do (whatever government choose to do or not to do)."
