upickflix is a brand new experience in watching films. Now you (and the rest of the audience in a theater) get to choose the direction the film goes.

Here's how it works: you use upickflix to find a upickflix (choose your own adventure) movie you'd like to watch. You go to the theater where it's playing, purchase tickets and begin watching the film. upickflix movies have plot choices that the crowd gets to vote on. When the movie prompts you to make a choice, open the app and choose which plot twist you want to see. Voting happens in only a few seconds for the whole audience. The movie will play the plot choice that was most voted for and you get to see different paths that the characters take. Every time watching a upickflix film is a completely different experience. You'll want to go see them again and again!

Q - Can I use upickflix with any movie I want to see?
A - No, you have to be watching one of our in-house created movies to use this app to help control the film plot.

Q - Why can't I see any movie with this app?
A - upickflix integrates your phone with a back end server that then controls the movie clips in a theater. Not all movies (in fact, only upickflix movies) can do this. So you'll need to check the app for new locations and movies to watch.

Q - Do I need to be at the theater to watch the movie?
A - Yes, the app is location aware so if you are not at the specific location of a movie you cannot participate or vote on plot choices.

Q - Can I watch a movie on my mobile device?
A - No, we are building a completely new way to watch movies. The current movie theater experience is one where you are sitting with a bunch of people but not interacting with them during the film. You can't use your mobile device. upickflix *requires* you to use your device during the film to vote for plot turns. We want to bridge the gap between the plot of the film and the real world. It's so much fun to do this with everyone in a theater!

Q - When will more upickflix films be available?
A - We are in the process of creating the first full length feature film which will be released next year. Right now we are only in very select locations. If you'd like it in your area please send us a note in the app or https://upickflix.app and we'll get working on it.

Q - Can I watch upickflix films anywhere else (like online video websites or anywhere)?
A - No you cannot watch a upickflix film anywhere else but in the select locations we are in now. We plan on adding many more films and locations so hopefully you'll have it in your area soon. NOTE: you can watch trailers to our films online but not the full films. We have the trailers in our app for you to view and see which films you'd like to go to and be part of the next great way to watch movies!
