Shift25 - shift calendar on Windows Pc

What is Shift25?

Shift25 was created in 2015 from a factory in Recklinghausen.
That doesn't say much at first, but the "Full Conti" shift plan wasn't really a proper planning plan.
It also had a rhythm that was based on public holidays, which made forward-looking planning of social interaction almost impossible.
So the plans were laboriously created anew for each year and put on paper. And that in the digital age.
There was simply no app for this one shift calendar that could also reflect changes to the plan due to public holidays.
Until employees came up with Schicht25 as an idea to close this gap.
The name Schicht25 also comes from the fact that it was initially only written for this shift system, with shift changes every 2 days for 5 groups.
Hence Shift25 ;-)
The algorithms now take over paper management and Shift25 was continually improved based on the wishes of the employees, until other factories with similar problems also wanted to have their shift plans on it.
From the small factory (which unfortunately no longer exists), Shift25 has now become a factory of shift workers for shift workers.

So much for the history, now for the features of the app!


Set up a shift plan:
Here you first select your country to find the correct public holidays and school holidays in your region.
The app offers you 30 common shift plans from different shift systems to choose from.
If you can't find what you're looking for, you can create them yourself in just a few seconds using the rhythm generator under plan number: 00.
A preview calendar based on the WYSIWYG principle makes it easy for you to change the colors and labels as you wish.
Depending on the federal state you choose and your company agreement, you can redeclare certain public holidays as non-working days.
On the Other tab, you can create additional labels and select a background image for your calendar.


Daily entries in the calendar:
By holding down or double-tapping a day in the calendar, you can create appointments and notes in addition to shift-related changes.

Appointments/reminders:
Create individual appointments with repetitions at different intervals and expiration times.

Notes:
Keep a notebook for different purposes, e.g. a shopping list or a diary.


Switch groups:
Depending on the shift plan you have chosen, you can switch between them by long-pressing the group name, for example "Shift A", in the title bar at the top.

Vacation/sickness:
Here you can more easily enter several vacation days or sick days.

Alarm clock:
Set the time once depending on the work shift and only be woken up on regular working days.

Lists:
A compilation of all your appointments and notes with a search function

Widgets:
A monthly and a two-week widget of the current calendar.

Import/Export:
Backs up all entries such as settings, appointments and notes on an external storage medium so that you can restore them if necessary.

PDF printing:
Print your calendars in year or month format.

Design:
Shift25 also supports dark mode!
