The pilgrimage of Ashura, the pilgrimage of the Shiites for the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (AS) (from afar and near) and his followers, and recalling the event of Ashura, especially on Ashura day. This pilgrimage is quoted from Imam Mohammad Baqir (AS) and is of great importance to the Shiites.
There have been narrations about the recitation of the pilgrimage of Ashura from the infallibles. In a narration that has been quoted by al-ibn Muhammad Hadramai of Imam Baqir (AS), the reciprocal reading of the pilgrimage of Ashura after the salutation of Imam Hussein and two Rak'ats of prayer is that thousands of thousands of believers disappear and a thousand thousand degrees rise. Also, the one who reads this pilgrimage will be among those who have been martyred in the footsteps of Imam Hussein, and will share in their degrees, as well as in the rewards of all the prophets, the apostles and everyone who has visited Imam Hussein from his martyrdom day. As He quoted Imam Baqir (AS) as saying, the fifth Imam of the Shiites said after the pilgrimage: "Honey! If you were able to pilgrimage every day from the life of Hussein through this pilgrimage, then it will be for you to reap all this pilgrimage. "
