What can this app do?
The special feature of this cooking app is that all ingredients are linked to products from the supermarket. The user thus learns which recipe costs how much and can thus plan his budget for food. My vision is to enable a vegan diet for every budget. No matter how much budget you have - a healthy and balanced diet should be possible in every situation. If you do not know many vegan products yet, the app also helps you find the right foods from the supermarket. You probably know the problem of studying the back of products packaging. I would like to propose you varied recipes and recommend the right products at the same time.

Since a vegan diet should pay particular attention to nutritional value, each recipe provides nutritional value and mineral information per serving. Thanks to the nutritional content you get this information for each cooking instructions.

It will specify: calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, iron, zinc, calcium and magnesium

The price calculation
The prices are calculated according to the actual proportion of ingredients in the recipe.

Example: 500g tomatoes costs 2.50 -> 250g are needed -> 2.50 / 500 * 250 = 1.25 €

This will be calculated for 250g tomatoes only € 1.25, so you spend at the supermarket, of course, more than in the app specified. I deliberately chose this calculation for 3 reasons:

1) You get an awareness of how much a court actually costs.

2) The food is more respected. if you make the remaining 250g go bad, you have not only thrown food but also € 1.25 in the trash.

3) You can delete the tomatoes from the shopping list at the next recipe :)

The alpha phase
Currently only products from the REWE are deposited. The prices are currently only adapted to the region of Bavaria. However, the food prices do not differ too much from the other states, so you can easily use this app as a guide. Further supermarkets and regions follow. You are one of the first users of the new app for vegan cuisine.
