Wali is a music group from Ciputat, South Tangerang. This music group was formed in 1999. There are 5 members, Faank (vocals), Apoy (guitar), Tomi (drums), Ovie (keyboardist), and Nunu (bass). All of the band's personnel are pesantren graduates and some are alumni of the Syarif Hidayatullah UIN Jakarta. His first album was Orang Bilang which was released in 2008. The band generally has a total creative pop genre with a little touch of Malay rhythm in their songs. The hit songs on this album are Dik and Egokah I use Shireen Sungkar as a video clip model. Dik's song, which is a mainstay by incorporating the love pop element, was recorded as a successful RBT (ring back tone) for 1 million cellphone owners until mid-May 2008. This became a barometer of the success of the 5-member group.

Success with the first album, Wali immediately released her second album, mostly created by Apoy. Previously, Wali had released a whiz song from his latest album, Find Jodoh. Even thanks to RBT singles, find this soul mate, Wali gets an umroh prize from the label, Nagaswara.

In the moment of Ramadan 1430 Hijriah (August-September 2009), Wali also issued a religious song entitled Mari Sholawat. [1] After releasing the second album, the base, Nunu decided to resign and reportedly was working on a project under the guidance of Dewa 19 base, Yuke Sampurna. [2]
