In this post, I am going to show you how to install Welltherm AR on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Welltherm AR using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "Welltherm AR" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

This app gives you a realistic product experience of efficient and easy-to-use infrared complete heating of the German brand manufacturer Welltherm using augmented reality technology and interactive 360 degree interior displays.

The basis for using this app are so-called "markers". You will find these markers in various advertising and information materials of Welltherm GmbH. A marker can be a QR code but also an image, e.g. the drawing of a floor plan.

Once you have downloaded and installed the app on your device, you can start the app. After the start of the program all currently available augmented reality projects of Welltherm GmbH will be listed. If you do not have a marker yet, you can use the icon with the arrow in the smartphone to download the appropriate marker for the respective project in order to then print it out. If you already have a suitable marker, you can tap directly on the appropriate preview image and thus initiate the download of the project-related data. The amount of data per AR project varies and can be up to more than 100 MB. For the download of this data we recommend a secured WLAN connection without volume-dependent billing and without data limit.

Once all data has been downloaded, the marker detection starts with a built-in camera. For correct operation, aim the camera of your terminal on the marker so that it can be detected in its entirety. Once the app has recognized the marker correctly, the overlay of the real filmed marker with the virtual 3D content begins. You can now move around with your device around the marker. When the marker leaves the field of view of your camera, the augmented reality overlay stops, because the app can no longer orient in space.

For some AR projects, additional information is stored, which you can call by tapping, e.g. Interactive 360 degree interior views including information on the heaters and control technology shown. Within these virtual rooms, you can move around by swiveling the terminal or by swiping your finger. Symbols in the form of white circles can be tapped to switch to adjacent rooms. The arrow at the top of the screen takes you back to the AR presentation of the project, or from the AR display back to the top selection level.
