Handicrafts How to Make Owl Pillow Dolls from Patchwork

Well this time we will make a craft made of patchwork in the form of a cute owl or owl shaped pillow or from the main material of patchwork. The main ingredients needed include several pieces of patchwork, scissors, dakron / kapok, newspapers, pencils, and several other supporting materials.

The following is how to make a patchwork owl pillow in the form of a unique and cute owl shaped pillow:

a patchwork owl doll pattern from the newspaper
Prepare used newspapers or magazines, and draw a picture of the shape of an owl or owl head above the newspaper, complete with the pattern of the legs, eyes and nose of the owl.

Trace the image of the owl's head pattern on a patchwork. Cut the patchwork that has been drawn according to the pattern image.
There are 2 types of fabric patterns on the head, which is 1 pair for the inside of the pillow (plain cloth), and 1 pair for the outer part of the pillow case (picture cloth).
For the head and foot parts, cut each patch 2 pieces of cloth or one pair.

First we will make owel or owl shaped pillowcases. Make owl eyes and nose from patchwork material too.

Place the pieces of the eye and nose of the owl on one side of the head pattern, then glue it with the help of glue. Or you can also put your eyes and nose in stitches to make it stronger.

Sew a pair of fabric patterns in the owl or owl. Then turn the cloth that has been sewn, remove the inside (inside the outside).

Also sew the fabric pattern of the owl's leg. If the owl has 2 legs, it means there are 2 pairs of fabric patterns that must be sewn.

Bring together the fabric pattern of the left and right legs to the fabric pattern of the head by sewing it neatly.

Now, now the Owl pillowcase or owl is now finished. To close the bottom of the pillow case, you can add adhesive or it can also be by giving buttons or zippers.

The next step is sewing a patchwork pattern for the inside of the pillow in the same way as making a pillow case. After stitching and leaving a little hole, then fill the inside of the pillow with dacron, or kapok, or with another pillow. After it is fully filled, then sew it until it is tightly closed.

After the inside of the pillow is finished, please insert the filled pillow into the owl pillowcase that was previously made. And cute owl-shaped pillows from patchwork have already been made and are ready for use or on display in your living room.
