This version of 'SEP: Colombian Sign Language', is a first tool to address the development of the word-concept relationship in the Deaf Professional in training, specifically in the area of ​​Education (Initially), this from expressions and academic and scientific terms of the disciplines of Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and is one of the resulting products of the research project: Communication and Accessible Technologies as Support for Quality Inclusive Education, developed by the Research Group on Education and Scenarios of Pedagogical Construction of the Ibero-American University Corporation, which for its development had a significant contribution from the Fodesep -Fund of Development of Higher Education-.

The research exercise was aimed at identifying, recognizing and characterizing the way in which each of the included terms is interpreted correctly by the Deaf population in formation in the Ibero-American, beyond the literal found in the dictionaries, books of text and specialized works, to look for a mechanism that generalizes the interpretation and internalization of the concepts already existing in oral Spanish.

The tool seeks to be as simple and succinct in its development and execution, so that anyone can access a list of words and find their terms concepts expressed by a model, in written and graphic form.

You can search by typing or sliding on the list until you find the term of your interest, you can add it to a list of favorites or frequent reference items.

In the near future, the terms included in education will be expanded and other areas and disciplines will be addressed. An active closed caption will be applied in all terms. We are interested in your feedback, as these will allow us to continue innovating and improving this tool and its functionalities for the benefit of the Sordo Professional and Colombian society.
