Payung Teduh is an alternative Indonesian band fusion between folk, keroncong and jazz. Payung Teduh was formed at the end of 2007 with the initial formation of Is (vocalist) and Comi (counter bass). In 2008, Payung Teduh invited Cito to join as a drummer and invited Ivan as a guitarist and trumpet player in 2010. The Rain of the Rain is the first song to bring out their own colors. As time goes by, other songs like Kucari Anda, Amy, Untuk Perempuan Are In Pelukan, also include works from theater performances with Catur Ari Wibowo such as Resah, Stories about Mountain and Sea, and Amalia Puri's work entitled Sleeping and night. In the end Payung Teduh decided to make its first indie album which was released in late 2010

In 2013, Payung Teduh released their second studio album entitled Dunia Batas with the label label Ivy League Music which is an indie label. On November 11, 2014, the Label announced a digital link to download the Dunia Batas album and on April 18-19, 2015, the album was released in cassette format with only 300 copies limited by Record Store Day Indonesia. The Boundary World Album has 8 songs, namely Two Only, Towards Dusk, For Women Who Are In Hugs, Secrets, Rainy Rain, At the End of the Night, Restless and Leave.

In 2015, Payung Teduh released a song called Masa Kecilku and in 2016, Payung Teduh released an album entitled Live and Loud and the songs on the album included Towards Dusk, I Searched for You, Let-Fret, Only Two-Secrets, We Are the Rest -No Elimination of Reminiscence, At the End of the Night, Sleep, Stories About the Mountain and the Sea, Amy, For Women Who Are In the Hug, the Rain of the Rain.

In 2017, Payung Teduh released a single titled "Akad" and released an album entitled Waiting Room. The song "Akad" now and his latest album are viral in cyberspace. There are also many people who cover the song "Akad". After releasing their latest album, Is and Comi chose to leave Payung Teduh.
