Using stunning 360-degree drone and ground-level footage and blending modern-day imagery with graphics, period photos and video, the app takes viewers to key sites along the Australian Trail of Remembrance, The Death Railway - and explains what happened there in gripping bite-size segments.

From battlegrounds like Pozieres, Villers-Bretonneux and Fromelles to museums and memorials like the extraordinary Sir John Monash Centre and awe-inspiring Menin Gate, or the Death Railway in Thailand, each of the videos tells the story of the men and women who served; and places those stories into the broader context of Australia’s part in the epic conflict waged from 1914 to 1945.

Soar over battlefields, explore stunning monuments, go inside ruined bunkers and restored trenches in 360 vision, using a headset or simply holding your phone or tablet.

We even take you underground into a network of ancient subterranean tunnels and caves that became a favourite destination for Aussies on leave - hundreds of whom scrawled their names on the walls; then died in action nearby, just weeks or months after.

And the journey comes right up to the present day - taking the viewer into the middle of the emotional daily Last Post ceremony at Ypres’ Menin Gate, a memorial to the thousands who died with no known grave.

Lest We Forget.
