Ferreira Macedo, was created so the entity Association Friends of the radio Veredinha, with approval by members of the Fantasy Name of the issuer as: (NEW WAVE 87.9 FM ) in order to fight for the creation of the means of communication to meet the demand for communication leading news, information and entertainment to the population of our city. The daily schedule of the community radio station contains information, leisure, cultural, artistic, folkloric and everything that can contribute to community development, without discrimination of race, religion, sex, political party beliefs and social conditions. Always respect the ethical and social values of the person and the family and the opportunity for expression of different opinions on the same subject. The program must comply with the ethical and social values of the person and the family, pay utilities and contribute to the professional development in the areas of activity of journalists and broadcasters. In addition, any citizen of the benefiting community will have the right to issue opinions on any matters addressed in the programming of the station as well as express ideas, proposals, suggestions, complaints or claims.

After filing all the paperwork to the Ministry of Communications, somento the year 2011 has been started the live programming on the air station.
