This is the official guide app for Blackpool Better Start's 2018 Annual Conference ‘Innovation in Practice’, Trauma Informed Blackpool.

The conference is aimed at everyone who works with children aged 0-4 in Blackpool and it is free of charge. As an added bonus, CPD points are available (please check with your professional body).

The one day event will feature speakers and workshops that will focus on Trauma Informed Care, Diet and Nutrition and Community Development.

It will provide a unique opportunity for Early Years Professionals to hear from leading experts in the field of early child development, giving a national and international perspective on local practice. Speakers include:

Dr Beckie Lang - Interim CEO at Parent Infant Partnership (PIP) UK
Dr Elsa Montgomery - Head of Department of Midwifery at Kings College London
Dr Sinead Gormally - Senior Lecturer in Community Development and Adult Learning at University of Glasgow

Workshops will also explore how innovative practice is being implemented in Blackpool through the Better Start partnership.
