Indonesia is one of the countries that adheres to a democratic political system, namely the government of the people by the people for the people, and is the 3rd largest democracy in the world. In the manifestation of democracy in the process of statehood in Indonesia, the election of leaders is carried out directly or referred to as general elections. General elections or elections are a means or form of people's involvement in the government process. As of 1955, Indonesia has held 11 general elections. In its implementation, there are several obstacles such as black campaigns, abstentions (white groups) and so on. KPU data in 2014 the number of abstentions in Indonesia almost reached 30.42% in the presidential election and in the legislative elections amounting to 24.89% (Detik, 2014)

My Candidate is a collaborative platform for election participants that will make it easier for voters to know the track record of the candidates they will choose. In this application there is also an election guide that will help voters to understand the procedures and rules of the election.

This application is expected to be a solution to the high number of abstentions caused by voters who do not know the candidates for their choice.
