Cong Vinh's first goal for T & T Hanoi was on February 24, 2009 in the second round of the V-League against SHB Danang in a 1-0 win over the team from a header. On 21 June 2009, in the 17th round of the V-League, Cong Vinh scored four goals in the Thanh Hoa Cement net Thanh HoaT & T Hanoi won 4-1.
