The DuoLembu application is an application that is beneficial for cattle buyers, with this application the buyer can predict the net weight of beef (without bone / pure meat) with several variables entered. The need for meat, especially beef, is increasingly increasing, because human awareness of the importance of nutritional needs derived from animal meat.

The high demand for beef needs has resulted in farmers and cattle traders trying to sell as many livestock as possible. The activities of farmers and cattle traders in Indonesia are still largely unprofessional.
For the sake of gaining a lot of profits, had taken action that harms cattle and consumers. One such action is to sell glonggongan meat, which is to increase the mass / weight of beef by providing excessive drinking water before the cattle are cut. One way to overcome this action is to provide information to buyers through a system of analyzing the normal weight of beef and glonggongan using an expert system with case-based reasoning methods.

Meat is a food that has high nutritional value because it is rich in protein, fat, minerals and other substances that are needed by the body. Efforts to improve meat quality are carried out through better processing or handling so that it can reduce damage or decay during storage and marketing
Food needs in the form of meat, especially beef, are increasing. This is triggered by increasing human awareness of the importance of nutritional needs derived from animal meat.

This situation is also driven by the increasing level of welfare of human life so that the demand for animal meat increases. The high demand for beef reaches its peak during holidays (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha). As a result, farmers and cattle traders try to sell as many livestock as possible.

The habit of people, especially farmers and cattle traders in Indonesia in conducting cattle fattening is still not professional. Actions that are often encountered by traders or breeders in obtaining high profits, are willing to take action, namely selling meat from a slaughtered cow.

Glonggongan is a short way for farmers or traders to increase the weight or mass of a cow's body before being slaughtered by giving water through a hose into the mouth of a cow. Before slaughtering a cow, it is left for 60 minutes, so that the water seeps into the flesh, skin and other organs of the cow, thus affecting the weight of the cow.

Safeguarding beef food is absolutely necessary to ensure that the public as consumers get meat that is safe for consumption. This problem of beef food security continues to develop, is dynamic in line with the development of human civilization which includes social aspects of culture, health, advances in science and technology related to human life. As food, meat has potential hazards, namely biological, chemical, and physical.

Biological hazards can be caused by bacteria, parasites, viruses, fungi; chemical hazards can be caused by contamination of antibiotic residues, hormones, pesticides, preservatives / other additives, and physical hazards such as bones, metals, wood, plastics and others. These hazards can occur in beef during the supply process and can interfere with harming and endangering human health.
