Book of Fathul Qorib

This book is known as "Fathu Al-Qorib" (فتح القريب). His full name is "Fathu Al-Qorib Al-Mujib Fi Syarhi Alfazhi At-Taqrib" (فتح القريب المجيب في شرح ألفاظ التقريب). Other names "Al-Qoulu Al-Mukhtar Fi Syarhi Ghoyah Al-Ikhtishor" (القول المختار في شرح غاية الاختصار). So famous and important is this book that it was nicknamed "At-Tuhfah Ash-Shoghiroh" ("Tuhfah" small), as if the book "Fathu Al-Qorib" is a mini version of "Tuhfatu Al-Muhtaj" by Ibnu Hajar Al-Haitami . The author is named Ibn Qosim Al-Ghozzi (ابن قاسم الغزي) or sometimes also known as Ibn Al-Ghorobili (ابن الغرابيلي). His full name, Syamsuddin Abu ‘Abdillah Muhammad bin Qosim Al-Ghozzi. He was born in Rojab in Ghozzah in 859 H. In that city he also grew up. Only, in 881 H he decided to leave the village to migrate and study to Egypt until finally becoming a respected cleric.

Her voice was so sweet that the people who prayed with her prayers behind her would not be bored hearing her Al-Qur'an reading. If he teaches or functions, he is always in perfect holy condition. He memorized the Qur'an, "Manzhumah Ash-Syathibiyyah" in the science of qiroat, the book "Minhaj Ath-Tholibin", Alfiyyyah in the science of hadith, alfiyyah in the science of nahwu, mostly "Jam'u Al-Jawami" and others - other. Among his famous teachers is As-Sakhowi (902 H). Al-Ghozzi was entrusted to teach at Al-Azhar.

This book is very popular. Teach in many Islamic religious education institutions throughout the world. Mosques, Islamic boarding schools, dayah-dayah, musholla, surau, and even houses study them. Al-Azhar University also makes it a compulsory book to learn.
