This App was initially developed to support Mediantar research, which investigates the adaptation of humans to the extreme conditions of survival experienced in Antarctica.
It was developed by a team of students and professors from the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais - Itabirito Advanced Campus - and uses as reference the compendium of physical activities published by Ainsworth et al (2000) and translated into Portuguese by Farinatti (2003).
The user provides the body mass when starting the application. The application uses the equation below in which the body weight is multiplied by the MET value of the activity performed and by the duration of the activity:
Energy expenditure (kcal) = MET. body weight (kg). time taken (h)

All activities of the compendium of Ainsworth et al. (2000) are available for the user to select the ones he performed. You can choose a date and enter all activity information within 24 hours of the given day.

The application will be used in Brazilian Antarctic Operations and will provide important information on users' daily caloric expenditure and may be an important tool for body weight control of
participants in the expeditions.
