In this post, I am going to show you how to install SIVL on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install SIVL using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "SIVL" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

The SVL is based on the legality of the timber defined in this agreement and its verification tool is the legality grids for timber from natural forests and plantations. For this purpose, the LAS consists of the following six (6) elements:
1. Two legality grids respectively of wood from natural forests and forest plantations in the Congo, defining the regulatory requirements (indicators) that must be met for the timber to be qualified as legal according to the regulations in force;
2. The traceability system to control the supply chain of timber and timber products and to verify their origin. This system makes it possible to check the conformity with the rest of the indicators identified in the grids;
3. The verification of the legality of the forest entity (compliance of the operators and their activities with the requirements of the legality grids). Following this verification, a certificate of legality is issued to private sector actors certifying compliance with the indicators and verifiers set out in these grids;
4. Verification of control of the supply chain;
5. The issuance of FLEGT licenses;
6. Independent audit.
In order to facilitate the verification of the legality of forest enterprises (3), the verification of the control of the supply chain (4) and the issuance of FLEGT licenses (5), the Republic of Congo has established a Computerized System of Legality Verification (SIVL).

The purpose of this mobile version is to collect traceability data for wood products and to identify these products by barcode scanner (a goal to be reached by the Java Android developer);
