The app is designed with lessons to teach children the concept of adding and subtracting with objects rather than just abstract concepts. Children will apply the concept of adding quantities on the addition board and subtracting quantities on the subtraction board to integrate the concepts. Both the boards have three levels with two sections under each level to challenge children as they gather ******** and expertise to mentally apply the concepts or use simple strategies as combinations in addition and subtraction are presented, for example the simplest equation in addition is to add two quantities in level one and from then on to move to equations with manipulations to think different and formulate strategies to fill in missing factors or answers. At the end of every lesson children are presented with a page appreciating their work and an option to challenge themselves to improve their own speed in completing the same lesson faster and implement quick thinking skills in the same lesson each time they re-challenge themselves to try a lesson agian.
After a thorough understanding of both the concepts with concrete materials children are challenged through worksheets to mentally add or subtract and enhance their perception with speed without the intervention of teachers or parents to work at their own pace whenever they feel inspired to do so. The lessons and worksheets intrinsically inspire children to work on it over and over again because it is fun and fulfilling to accomplish and complete a task and it is intrinsic in everyone to do better than before.
The worksheets range in three levels from easy to medium to advanced. Children can start from kindergarten and keep using the app up to grade 3 or higher. It is unbelievable there are approximately 13,200 equations in total.
