With the popular character from the successful Quiesel Textbook BLOCKS children can playfully practice learned in the teaching of German and deepen in 2nd class. The knowledge of children is systematically constructed by learning areas are trained, which are important for the further linguistic and legal writing development. Here also the perception of the children will be trained. By playing against time, the children will be encouraged to improve their high scores and thus the frequent repeating.

In the educational games exercises are offered that integrate harmoniously into the task portfolio of the BLOCKS language and reading book. So the children always move in familiar areas and can independently apply the acquired skills German lessons.

The 12 learning games are adapted to the curriculum of the elementary school and have been developed with pedagogic support.

Getting to know the alphabet:
· Arrange the letters to ABC: The children organize each 5 capital letters in alphabetical order.
· Arrange the words to ABC: Here each 5 words must be placed in the correct alphabetical order.

Working with syllables:
· Image from the syllables words: each of two syllables put the children words of different parts of speech together.

Listening and read carefully:
· Which word do you hear? A well-word must be properly heard and exquisite. But be careful: Sometimes only one letter is wrong.
· Which word matches the picture? The children will find more than one word, the word matching the image.
· Which sentence match the image? From 4 sets only one match the image shown. Children must read carefully and compare it with the image.

Speech differ:
· What words Nomen have? Quiesel "fishing" in the frog pond after nouns. The children help him.
· Arrange the words to verbs and nouns. In the laboratory, it depends on accuracy. The children sort nouns and verbs.
· Image of two nouns, a compound noun: snow hole and key man? Not every connection fits. Here compound nouns are formed.

Correctly write and apply strategies:
· Find the pairs: Sometimes you just know how a word is written. Here the children form one word and the matching picture card pairs. Thus the case impresses.
· Find the pairs: The words with a and au always fits a word with similar or externa. Playful children learn that one can derive words.

Set final mark and record types are different:
· Which punctuation missing? The children read a sentence. You decide which set of final mark is missing, and reinsert it.
