Complementing the successful textbook BLOCKS can playfully practice learned in the teaching of German and deepen children in 4th grade. The knowledge of children is systematically constructed by learning areas are trained, which are important for the further linguistic and legal writing development. Here also the perception of the children will be trained. By playing against time, the children will be encouraged to improve their high scores and thus the frequent repeating.

In the educational games exercises are offered that integrate harmoniously into the task portfolio of the BLOCKS language and reading book. So the children always move in familiar areas and can independently apply the acquired skills German lessons.

The 13 learning games are adapted to the curriculum of the elementary school and have been developed with pedagogic support.

Working with words and word elements:
· Which foreign word is wanted? A phrase from another language is described which is to be selected by the children among several possible answers.
· Locate the appropriate heading. In audio text short text sequences are read. The children are four headers to choose from whom they will choose the right.
· Forming compound nouns with the correct article. From two nouns is a compound noun respectively. The given article will help in the selection.
· Which word there? The children form words with the correct endings. You need to decide what -ung the predetermined endings -tum -schaft or -nis makes sense together with the predetermined noun.

Parts of speech and word fields differ:
· Which words belong to the semantic field? Words must be assigned to the correct word fields. The choices are words that have content the same meaning as the predicted word. The children have thoroughly read and think before they make their decision.
· Arrange the words after verbs and adjectives. The children decide to what part of speech it is. The words have to be taken in the respective matching pot "Adjectives" or "verbs".
· Find the couple of word families. Each noun belongs a derived verb or adjective that should be assigned appropriately.
· Which words are nouns? Reflect the children, which are the words offered nouns and sequester them by boat.

Tenses to meet:
· Find the pairs. Which card pairs fit together? Each verb, there are two, namely in the first and second past tense. By uncovering the card pairs are assigned.
· Form the appropriate verb forms. The matching verbs in the future tense must be found and allocated appropriately.

Build sentences:
· Which fits Conjunction? Children read pre-written text and decide which appropriate word they use, so that the whole sentence makes sense.
· Determine the parts of a sentence. The default rate has to be split into its clauses subject, predicate and object.
· Find the perfect complement. The children read the first part of a sentence and should thus supplement him that he makes sense.
