ForLang Companion (Foreign Language Companion) is an application that aims to complement your language classes at school. Its purpose is to improve the efficiency of those classes. Get it when you're at school and use it for the rest of your life.

It has been designed following the advice of linguists and from our own experience as language learners.
Its prime objective is to consolidate the vocabulary that you learn at school. Our application gives you all you need to manage the files containing your vocabulary.
With the vocabulary well managed, you will be able to learn it with games: the pyramid, pronunciation, listening, multiple-choice tests and with an online game called Duel so that you can have fun competing with others, friends and strangers, who are interested in the same language.

Since it is a complement, it offers what classes usually lack, and gives you the chance to contact with native speakers by Skype so that you can practice from your own home.
It also has other features such as a basic translator to divide translations into small phrases, a program to help you differentiate words that sound similar, an option that allows you to make your own grammar summaries and, lastly, for you to write your own compositions for native speakers to correct, though in this case you must also correct the compositions of other learners.

IMPORTANT: Before buying the application, check first whether the language you want to learn is available on your smartphone:

- Enter "Settings" and check the different keyboard options. Select the language you want to learn (remember that Arabic and Russian, for example, need a special keyboard).
- Find the "Text to Voice" option so that you can hear the pronunciation. Check that your language is on the list and select it.
- Lastly, find the "Voice to Text" option, which you will need for the voice recognition feature. This will let you pronounce the words. Select the language that interests you, which should be on the list.

If you want all of these functions to be available off-line, download the corresponding files onto your smartphone. You will be able to see the space occupied by each language."

All of this means that the application will only be fully 100% functional for these languages.
The "speaking/conversation" and "composition" functions are based on the relationship between the user and another native speaker and so, if you're mother tongue is not in high demand, it may be difficult to find other users to talk to.

You will also need to install Skype on your phone and create an account.
