During the tour you will visit The Cromford Canal Wharf, a Site of Special Scientific Interest which is abundant in both history and wildlife, St Mary’s Church where the great man is laid to rest along with other members of this great dynasty and on up into Cromford Village. Follow in the footsteps of the hundreds of mill workers to see and hear more about daily life and Sir Richard Arkwright’s entrepreneurial ideas
The app takes you on a tour of the Mill workers houses in North Street and the historic Market Place and Greyhound Hotel, the School which is still in use today and the Village Lock Up where the unruly were locked up in a small cell.
