In this post, I am going to show you how to install [Substratum] Amazed Navbars on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install [Substratum] Amazed Navbars using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "[Substratum] Amazed Navbars" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

**PIXEL DEVICES RUNNING ANDROID 10, ONLY THE ALL WHITE THEMED NAVBARS WILL WORK FOR NOW, I WILL FIX IN FUTURE UPDATES**

Samsung devices may be a bit buggy with the colored navbars and they may apply white but, the non-colored ones work perfectly!! If you are on a 8.1 rom please try the Navbars labelled Pixel 2 or _GalaxyS9. Custom roms such as Resurrection Remix on 8.1 should have no problem with these navbars.

Again, Samsung devices may have problems with these Navbars depending on what rom you are running and what platform (Android 7.1 versus Android 8.1, or 9.0) Please be aware and always contact me with any problems you may have. If you have a Samsung S8 device you may not want to purchase this theme. If you do I am always there to help you,,,but you need to ask!!

These Navbars work best on Android 7.1. Pixel 2 devices and those running Android 8.1or later, on any device, will have to use the navbars labelled -Pixel2 or GalaxyS9 after the title. These navbars will work however, they will be the same size of the stock Pixel 2 navbar icons, just a little bit smaller than older versions.

If your using a Samsung device and the Navbars look black instead of being Transparent and your running Nova Launcher you may need to toggle the transparent status bar tab then go back into touchwiz launcher and nav bar will turn transparent and work fine!

THIS IS NOT A STAND ALONE APP, YOU WILL HAVE TO USE THE SUBSTRATUM APP TO MAKE THESE NAVBARS WORK!!!!!

Tips to Install and manage:

1- Once installed, open Substratum and browse to Amazed Navbars and click on it.
2- Place a check in the box to the right where it says com.android.systemui.navbars.
3- Browse from the long list of amazing navbars and choose one you like.
4- Once you find one,select it and click the icon in the lower right hand corner that looks like a roller paint brush.
5- The screen will go dark then pop back up
6- Thoroughly enjoy your new Amazed Navbar!!

*******Important*******

If you want to go back to a navbar previously applied you MUST clean overlays then apply your choice again. You can go through all fifty plus navbars however, if you want to go back to one twice you must clean overlays.

How to Clean Overlays:

1- Go to the upper right hand corner of Substratum (while inside the Amazed Navbars theme)
2- Click the three little white menu dots. This will drop-down a menu then hit the “clean installed overlays” section.
3- Wait for it to clean (takes like 5 seconds) your screen will flash dark then back on
4- Your free to re-apply your choice again.
This process sucks however, navbars on newer phones has become very difficult to theme/overlay.
