AcceloGizmo is a handy drag test application, capable of measuring instant and average acceleration, and also recording effective environment variables, such as wind direction/speed, temperature and air pressure. Measurements are based on device sensors combined with some fetched values from the net. GPS availability, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors as well as Internet access are primary requirements for this app. A few network based values which are usually retrieved from the net may temporarily be unavailable without affecting basic results. According to rules of common practice, users are provided with time window selection capability in order to restrict their test duration based on their special requirements.
Special Features:
Countdown sound effect implemented for starting course
Screen auto-resize function implemented for supporting variety of display sizes
GUI’s look and feel changed according to user feedback and best practice
Time **** segmentation implemented for the final acceleration graph
Vocal sound effects inserted for a better free-hand operation
Output results summarized and visually improved
How to use AcceloGizmo:
Enable location provider as well as internet connection.
Start the app and wait for the main screen to appear
Main page appears if both Internet link and GPS are ready (GPS sensors usually require a minimum of about 1 minute to warm-up)
It is recommended to calibrate your GPS sensor(for a typical guide for calibrating GPS devices on Android phones, refer to https://youtu.be/CeyDIu__SLY)

Agree to the conditions by checking the provided checkbox.
Tap on the race-car icon after indicating your agreement
On the next page, select your preferred time frame as well as your basis for overall acceleration standard (either 0 to 100 km/h or 0 to 60 mph)
User is advised to choose a time frame larger than expected nominal acceleration for the vehicle as stated by manufacturer.
Next, a countdown 10s timer with sound effect, remind you to warm up your vehicle.
Start and keep accelerating after hearing “Go-Go” sound effect
Stop accelerating after hearing “Mission Complete” sound effect.
