In this post, I am going to show you how to install Fiber Optic Color Code on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Fiber Optic Color Code using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Fiber Optic Color Code" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

Look up cable count, reverse cable count, custom start fiber, straight sheath count or search by inverse color code with an expanding chart of fibers from a single screen.

This app shall be used only as a handy secondary reference tool as we know there are mistakes made in the field and incorrect records that always need to be taken into account. Use of a tone source as a primary identifier will always be more accurate.

This app has 6 predefined color codes and allows you the user to make and save your own fiber optic color code sequences to your specification. Select Menu > Multinational > Custom Setup to create a fiber optic color code for your region.

Supports:
• 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32 and 36 strand Fiber Loose Tube (1728F+)
• 12 Fiber Ribbon (1728F) single core.
• Customizable Ribbon in Loose Tube/Spider Ribbon from 1 to 24 tubes/binders and 1 to 144 ribbons (up to 6912F max) by app user variable configurations.

While not necessary to use in the app. You can enter full complex cable count that can be split into the group size of your choice at the Count Input screen. Then you can select the 'Color Code' button to have your custom cable count placed in the easy to use expanding fiber chart. Where you can locate a loose tube or ribbon cables fiber optic color code, sheath count, and your own custom entered complex cable count on fiber optic cables of up to 3456F in size.

Locate fibers with or without cable counts in the 'Find a Fiber' option. Simply enter a strand # without a cable count or enter the 'Cable,Fiber' if you're using a complex cable count (app auto detects if there's a count or not). The app will then auto expand and place index pointers at the found fibers locations.

Smart Save ~
Lets you save up to 3 cable counts on your device. (Cable counts are not required to operate app)

Smart Save short instruction:
Enter a count, select one of the 3 positions to save to, then click the 'Color Code' button.

Smart Save color legend:
Green= Vacant position
Black= Count already in position
Red= Existing count to be overwritten
Blue= Saved successfully



~Double Space Auto Punctuation:
Easily enter a cable count using the apps built in double space auto-punctuation feature by:
1) Enter cable name followed by 2 spaces (app automatically places a **comma)
2) Enter the low fiber range followed by 2 spaces (app automatically places a dash)
3) Enter the high fiber range followed by 2 spaces (app automatically drops down for next line of count)

**Customers that use a Colon (":") for cable name and fiber range separation: The first time you enter a cable count you will need to manually enter your first line of count using a colon to set the app to use colon separators. To set back to using a comma again you just need to manually enter a comma in the first line to set the app properties for Double Space Auto Punctuation.

Added Custom Start Fiber header range update as requested. When user creates a custom start fiber, there's now an option to update fiber ranges on the Ribbon/Tube headers (XX-XX). To enable this option go to Menu>App Settings> And switch on "Update Ranges(XX-XX)"

Also added Reverse lookup for custom start fibers.
