In this post, I am going to show you how to install AstroPro on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install AstroPro using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "AstroPro" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

How to install AstroPro on Windows PC using NoxPlayer

  1. Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "AstroPro" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

“Astropro” is an all in one app for Vedic Almanac, calendar of festivals, horoscope casting with analysis, and also to determine muhurthas for auspicious events. Thus it unveils the power of Vedic Astronomy for a successful, peaceful, and spiritual life. Users can set any major cities around the world and work with different key menu categories with its features discussed below with respective screen shots.

Home screen:
This provides current calendar date with Sunrise, Sunset, day’s star with its transition time, lunar month, tithi and year followed by any major Festival events for the given city of choice. User’s can navigate through days and months for the current year that gives corresponding Vedic almanac details as well as charts for planetary positions.

Almanac:
This section gives the almanac details for any given month that enables the user to quickly glance through the list of important festivals, days for rituals etc. in order to plan your own personal calendar of activities. This Vedic calendar is further supplemented with lunar and solar Eclipses data for direct observation at given place and year and ephemeris data with table provided in a separate section for the given month. In addition a comprehensive list of Vedic festivals and lunar days is also displayed for the given year and city that helps users to plan respective Vedic rituals ahead of time.

Astrochart:
By default, it gives the traditional chart with zodiacal details in terms of its longitude and position with respect to different constellations for the date selected on the home screen. Therefore one can navigate the home screen to set any day in the current year to obtain the day’s chart. . ‘Chart Type’ button is provided in the toolbar to quickly switch between chart formats from south Indian to north Indian style as shown in the screen shots. All chart almanac data are consistent with apps published on other platforms such as windows PC and iOS.

In addition, one can cast horoscopes based on place and time that provides additional scrolled output on major astrological analysis listed below.

4. Sapthavarga/Dasavarga analysis
5. Bhavavarga Analysis and special yogas
6. Ahshtakavarga analysis

This saves from the treachery involved in exhaustive computational skills required to perform above tasks and makes it readily available for quick interpretation. Further, in Dasha-bhukti analysis the favorable timeline has been color coded for quick interpretation. You can save your charts in a file for quick access as and when required. App allows you to store up to 100 individual’s chart data and once loaded you can navigate and select a specific chart for display. You can also delete charts that are no longer needed.

Muhurtha:
App helps the users to elect days for important events such as marriage, upanayana, and other general purpose. App generates a calendar of dates for a given year and month with almanac details and in case of harmonious days its suitability with respect to an individual's birth star.

In this version, app provides list of recommended stars for travel, house warming and for important business respectively while electing days for these activities as a part of general-purpose harmonious days.

In addition, muhurtha section also provides a menu for matrimonial match making that gives points scored under individual category with overall compatibility in percentages.

Help
Help file provides a Vedic almanac glossary with brief writing on various keywords, terminology and legend used in various sections of this app. It is quite educational even for beginners and people can quickly comprehend its significance with different computational logic used for the purpose.
