There are about fifteen years, while I was looking at photographs ethnographic character, I had the opportunity to acquire a small batch of colonial origin including a photo album and a farde ring containing a large amount of original typed documents.
This farde was recently taken for a thorough examination of its content. It then appeared that the file on the Kimbanguism stamped "SECRET" on each page, could possibly have an interest beyond the limited framework of ethnology specialists. A complete reading of this case, and given the fact that it was not possible to find a copy already available on the internet (which is certainly a rarity pledge) it seems that its publication can help better understand the genesis of this movement which was powerful enough to finally give birth to a true church (EJCSK - "Church of Jesus Christ on earth by his Special envoy Simon Kimbangu") of Christian obedience, recognized by the authorities of the Belgian Congo in 1958 and currently comprising, it seems, some five million followers worldwide.
This thick file on Kimbanguism structured by its editor-in-eight chapters and seven annexes, could not, for reasons of "weight" to be taken up in a single electronic publication. It was therefore split into three volumes of which this is the first.
This Volume 1 includes the entire first chapter of the document. In this chapter were added Schedules 1, 2, 3 and 4 that are mentioned as references in this first chapter. Were also added Annexes 6 and 7 which are the regional map Cataractes District directly affected by these events, as well as details of chiefdoms in the district.
The characters mentioned in this publication are:
Simon KIMBANGU EVEN, Mbaku Paul Nzuzi, LibasA, Timothy NKITU, Head MUNTANDA, MAKOSO, Chief Bemba, Head Panzu, Head Masola, Head SWELA, Paolo Landu, André Panzu, Johani Lusala NOKI, Bungu, SAKALA Kenge, Head KAKA, territorial agent SNOECK, prophetess Mandombe prophet NTWALANI, Head SAKALA TAMBA, FINANGANI, KISOLOKELA, Head MESO prophet Bungu, Tetele, Makolo, Philippe BUMBA, MBANGA, KINZEMBO, KUYELA, COMBER, CAMERON NZANGAMENE, KINTONDO, MOWALA, MAFUTA, Nkunku, NINKUNDA, Matubuka, Ngoma, Paul Mvula, NKUNKI, MBWANDA, NKENGE, JENNINGS, BEZIDI, MAYONGA, Masamuna Lusala, DENOMPOVELE, KIKEKA, Ngulula, MEZA, Pierre Dangi, NSOPAOLO Mvula, Chief Bandila, MPIODI, Telezi Mbonga, Mikala Mandombe Pierre Dangi, Jean Mukoko, André MBAKI Paul MONIKA, MAYEZI Chef Philippe Mvunda, NINKUNDA Samuel MOWALA Daniel Kunku Jean Nsumba, Lucas BAKA, Jean BAHONDA.
