In this post, I am going to show you how to install Visual Bones on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Visual Bones using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Visual Bones" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

OVERVIEW:
Visual Bones is an interactive reference, and education tool. It not only covers bones from all the main regions of the body but also includes internal skull bones, laryngeal skeleton, ear bones, hand bones and foot bones. In additional, it includes several ligaments in the shoulder region, ankle and knee region and 6 types of synovial joints. Over 100 bone markers are added.
The app contains over 200 high-resolution images including 13 single bone images (major bones) from Gray’s Anatomy and more than 300 feature points which can be interactively selected. All region bone images were generated from the 3D rendering of the 3D virtual human skeleton. Once a feature point is selected, a bone or region is highlighted and it can be viewed in the anterior, posterior or lateral view. Each feature has its own label and short description.
The app also has 3D rotational models for the skull, internal skull, rib, shoulder, pelvis, and knee.
The app also has search function which can be used as searching the labels of all feature points. In additional, over 300 position quizzes and 3 quizzes with 76 multi-choice questions also are included.

This app’s primary use is as a learning tool but can also be used for any professional who needs the occasional reminder. HOW TO USE:
The user is presented with a high-quality 3D bone images. The user can zoom in to any area by tapping on the zoom in button and using the single finger panning function. The feature point (cross) can be selected by tapping on it and bone or region is highlighted. Detail button allows you to switch on/off the short description. Quiz mode button allows you to switch on/off the label and short description. The rotation icons on the top of screen can be pressed to change the view of bones.
