Need to share an image online?

Before, you would have to go through opening your browser, navigating to an image hosting site, selecting the image, clicking upload, copying the direct link (if the site even gives you a direct link right away), navigate back to the app or site you need to share the image on, and finally paste the link.

With Railgun, the only thing you need to do is use Android's "Share" feature. Share your images to "Railgun" and the image will immediately begin processing and uploading - you can view the progress in the notification bar. Once uploaded, a direct link to the image will be added to the clipboard. You can also tap the finished notification to copy the link.

On Android 7.0+, Railgun also gets added to the quick settings notification area. This will open an image picker that lets you select an image, and the upload process starts. You don't even have to leave the app you're already in!

Other apps can also interface with this to give a quick upload process. Through a button press or other interaction, they can call up an image picker that will start the upload process once an image is selected. Email us at ioabsoftware@gmail.com for details if you'd like to interface with Railgun!

Additions to the app that come with the rebrand to Railgun:
• Support for more hosts: Currently supported hosts include ImgTC (the default), Vgy.me, and Nupic.
• Gallery Activity: Railgun now shows an icon in the app drawer. This will show all the images you have previously uploaded, as well as allow you to change settings, send feedback, and of course upload images as well.
Hotfix: Accessing images on external storage (SD Cards) should now work after granting Storage permission - the app will prompt you for it before image upload if the permission is not already granted.

Railgun Revamp!
• Now supports multiple image hosts
• Added Gallery activity to view and easily re-copy previous uploads
• Fix issues with copied ImgTC links caused by change to ImgTC site
