"The ten tables" was developed together with children for practicing the first 10 tables. The special feature of this app is the way the children can practice tables and is different with the familiar math games. The setup has been made as simple as possible and seems like a real practice folder with pages. There is an exercise with sums on each page.

"The ten tables" contains a total of 90 exercises. The exercises are grouped in ten booklets, each chapter containing eight exercises and concluding with a test. Within a booklet, the exercises are arranged from simple to difficult. This system comes back in every booklet in the same way so that the child can get used to it and the subsequent booklets can practice more easily. Because of the design of the app in the form of a booklet, you can always choose a different order for learning the tables.

In the app there is an interactive content page on the second page where all exercises are visible with a color coding. The white exercises have yet to be done. The yellow exercises are closed with errors and have to be done again. The green exercises have been rounded without error. The goal is to get all the blocks green.
During the construction of this app we have seen that many children would like to practice short sums, preferably in the form of games where time does not really play a big role. That is why the design of the exercises is very simple without complicated game elements and without the child being nervous because there is a time running.

You will see as the exercises progress, the speed of solving automatically increases. The first exercises are more focused on learning the sums, as you do more exercises the exercises will focus on repeating the sums in different sequences.

Also, the exercises are not too big. This allows you to practice short moments every day. In practice, an exercise takes between 5 and 10 minutes. This makes the app very suitable to practice the tables at home and / or at school, so that the learning effect can be divided during a week and practice is still fun for the child.

After completing an exercise, the parent can review the exercise together with the child. Any errors can then be considered. These results can be called up immediately after doing the exercise, but also later when, for example, the app has been closed.
