Grace is an evidence-based picture exchange app designed to encourage and reward independent communication through use of images rather than speech generation.

With Grace, the user is encouraged to find, take, select images, and then point in order to communicate their needs. Grace is not intended to be an app that replaces speech, but rather to encourage independent communication attempts that ensure the user is always understood.

Grace comes with a basic vocabulary of pictures, but it can be fully customized using the device camera, stored photographs or images saved from the internet and added to your device album. Users can select pictures to form a semantic sentence which they can then share, by tilting the device to create a full-screen view, and pointing at each card to hear the listener read each word.

Double-tap a card in the sentence to remove it, and tap and hold on a photo in the Photos category to delete it.

To help you make an informed choice, the Grace App manual is available for download from www.graceapp.com where you will also find a selection of videos demonstrating Grace App in use. Grace App supports and enables therapeutic strategies for developing other communication goals such as accepting “No” and “Wait” - “Asking for Help”, and “Tell me where it hurts”.
