Faraday protects your privacy in conjunction with best practices such as enabling find my device, screen lock with a secure passphrase and encryption.

If your device is lost or stolen you can try to call, locate or erase it using Google's "Find my Device". Unfortunately sometimes the person who has your device has no intention of returning it. They may circumvent Find my Device by disconnecting from the network and then attempt to access your data. Common ways to do this are by disabling the data connection, enabling airplane mode, taking out the sim card or putting it in a location with no signal.

Faraday is able to automatically lock your device until your passphrase is entered when certain conditions are met, such as after a loss of cell signal, data connection or when airplane mode is turned on.

If you suspect someone with physical access to your device may be trying to snoop on you, you have the option of recording every failed unlock attempt.

Faraday also helps preserve your privacy by optionally performing a factory reset when certain conditions are met while your device is offline. Examples of these are: after too many failed unlock events or if it remains off the network for a certain amount of time after it's been automatically locked.

If any of the "erase device" options are enabled and triggered your data will be destroyed. Your device will remain unusable until verified after it restarts.

Useful privacy tips are included.

Supports Android 6 and above.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission.
