I lived in Las Vegas for over 25 years and spent my share of time playing video poker in just about every casino in town. Being such an enjoyable game, I wouldn't change anything about it. Trying to duplicate the best features and add a couple of useful ones I came up with an experience that has pleased everyone who's played it.

Welcome to Mellow Time Poker. A delightful variation of 8 of the most popular video poker games and specially designed to take advantage of 8" and larger tablet displays.

The game screen features beautifully designed cards, (as well as standard cards), 10 different playing card backs to choose from, a special column in the payout table to keep track of how many winning hands you've gotten as well as a bar/line graph that shows the payout history for your last 100 hands played. The payout table has 3 different frame styles. The graph displays values using either a line style or a bar style. You begin the game with a $2000.00 bank balance and $20.00 already in the machine. When you run out you go to the bank and insert bills into the machine to load it back up. When your bank account runs empty the establishment will give you a loan each time. You never run out of money, which adds to the fun you missed at the casino. One of my favorite features of this poker game is the ability to play using "discard" style or "hold" style. It's been a long time since I've seen an old IGN machine that lets you discard / stand instead of hold / draw. Now you have a choice. Switch between the custom card deck and the old Doyle style cards any time you want. Use the color selection screen to apply a custom gradient or solid color to your background. Also adjust colors of the payout table text, history text, and graph colors. Make it your machine.
