To protect your privacy, WiFi Places automatically turns on the WiFi in your phone or tablet only at places where you need it and keeps it off elsewhere.
Displays distance in metric or imperial based on phone settings.

You should never use any public WiFi, not even for encrypted websites. Anyone can put themselves between you and the WiFi hotspot or website you use and see everything you/or your phone send through it when browsing or downloading emails in the background. Anything you send through on these WiFi hotspots are as good as gone. You should never access them, not even by accident.

But, the most important reason to turn off you WiFi in your phone is your privacy. Keep it off to prevent anyone, especially data collection firms with “proprietary“ algorithms to track your movement and location in real time. Your phone and location can be tracked just by leaving your WiFi enabled. Turn on WiFi in your phone only when and where you really need it.

Never forget to turn off your WiFi in your phone when leaving home. No advertisement, no data collection. Your life, your data, your privacy, your WiFi and your peace of mind. This application helps to keep it that way. On top of it, you may save some battery life here and there.

Sharing your WiFi or using the on-board WiFi while traveling on a cruise ship, train or in car, or staying in a hotel or attending an event? Cruise Mode is there for you. Your kids can use their tablet and watch online videos on their tablet. When you leave the cruise ship or the hotel, this application will turn off your WiFi in your phone when you disconnect from the hotspot.

The goal is to work for you quietly instead of keeping you busy and occupied with the application, so you can focus on things that are more important to you. The interface is minimalist for the sake of functionality, as we want you to spend as little time maintaining and updating as possible.

You must run start application and enable it manually after it is installed. Once you allow it to run, it will start immediately and run automatically after a boot or reboot. Disable it on the user interface, then it will stop and will not start until you enable it again. This is designed to give you full control and make your own decision to use it only when you wish or need it.

A properly working GPS is required in your device. Android OS may suspend functions of the application if your phone is configured that way.
