Veil is an application that helps you, in a simple and quick way, to protect your data (images).

With a few clicks you can turn your picture into meaningless image, as if it were veiled.

The security level can be adjusted as desired, starting with the lightest (choose only a pin number) to the heaviest (choose the application PIN and password, then a per picture passphrase).
Also you can encrypt the same image more times, as you like, before saving it.

More on PIN, password and passphrase:
With these three things you can control how the application protects your picture.
The PIN and password are stored in your phone in an encrypted form, instead the passphrase is never stored on your phone unless you you've choose not to use the passphrase.
The simplest level which, however, corresponds to the less secure one, is give only the PIN number and leave the password and passphrase fields empty.
On the other hands, the less easy to use but the more secure mode is fill all the three fields.
Once you make the fist access, the veil app will require you only the PIN and passphrase, instead the password will be recovered automatically from the phone local storage.

What happens to the image:
The Veil application change the image making it unreadable, the algorithm that encrypts the image is fully conditioned by PIN, password and passphrase.
The image is rendered anonymous by removing the references to the places and time of when it was taken, the image is always saved in PNG format, this makes it generally always bigger than the original size.
Using SDK API level 33.
Allows an application to know what content is playing and control its playback.
Allows an application to manage access to documents, usually as part of a document picker.
