App provides information on all health assessments and statements from the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). In addition to current publications, statements up to and including 2002 can be viewed.

The BfR statements are published by the BfR on an ad hoc basis or in crisis situations. They include possible health risks emanating from substances or microorganisms in food and from consumer products such as cosmetics, textiles, food packaging or toys.

Target groups
The app is primarily a tool for representatives from politics, science, associations, business and non-governmental organizations who work with BfR statements for professional reasons. Each scientific opinion is preceded by a generally understandable summary, which consumers can also use to find out about specific risks.

Content of scientific opinions
In addition to the summary of the risk assessment in the "grey box", the statements are divided into "object of the assessment", "result" and "justification". As a special service, the results of selected statements have been clearly presented in a graphic since 2013, the BfR risk profile.
