What is SSH Automator?
SSH Automator is a tool, which you can program it to do remote task over SSH from your android device. For example; if you have to connect multiple ssh server and run backup tasks every day, you can program that task with SSH Automator and do it with single click. SSH Automator will automaticly connect with your SSH Servers and send the commands one by one. It can connect with unlimited servers in a single task.

How to use it
The scripting system is very easy. Tap top menü and select “Add Task”. Fill your task name and lets create a backup script together. In this example, lets connect with our VPS and run our backup.sh script. To do that, the script must be like this:

connect domain.com 22 myusername mypassword
command ls
command bash /root/backup.sh
close

As you noticed, the connect tag setted our ssh connection parameters where domain.com is my domain, 22 is my ssh server port, and we also provided our ssh username and password. Every task must start with connection tag, and end with close tag. Close tag also sends “exit” command to your ssh, so you dont have to.

Useful information:
When you ssh scripts runs too long, and you dont want to wait, you can easly use “nohup” command of Linux. It will run your command at background even you are disconnected. Dont forget to end the command with “&”
Example: command nohup bash /root/backup.sh &
If your ssh server doesnt support nohup, you can easly install it.
