The story of Jack London - An Odyssey of the North was written in 1899, he is part of the series "Northern Stories".

In this story, An Odyssey of the North, there are again two frequent characters in the stories of Jack London - Mailman Kyd and Stanley Prince. In the book An Odyssey of the North- is revealed as in the Kid's hut, they first meet a stranger, whom they will call Ulysses among themselves. The second time, Ulysses visits them along with Axel Gunderson and his wife. With sleds loaded with supplies, this trio goes to some mysterious place called Kutnei.
