Change

Do you need to change? Do you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again.
If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you always got! Albert Einstein, Mark Twain and Henry Ford voiced this observation.

We can choose how to act in the manner that we feel is appropriate to change the usual outcome.

It is our human nature to react without conscious thought. When we ae driving, when that persons starts talking about their health, when a sibling uses something of your without asking... we work on auto pilot. We are acting in an habitual manner. No wonder things don't change!

In order to change we must consciously decide how we want to react to all triggers. So acting is the way.

This is not new:
Aristotle: "Men acquire a particular quality by constantly acting a certain way"
Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change you wish to see in the world"
Wallace D Wattles: "You must act in a certain way"

By acting in the appropriate manner over and over again, this will become a habit. Your vibrational level will become the vibrational level of the persona you are acting as. This new vibrational level will attract into your life, people, objects and situations that will allow you to experience that level.

It takes repetition for our brains to rewire our neuro networks so that the traits, values and emotions of your new persona match the vibrational level.

The Identity Creator was developed to help me sustain that repetitive nature to change. TIC became my reminder, my prompt, my trigger to get me into the correct space to change my outcome by changing how I reacted to people, places and situations. Let me explain how this worked.

Practical application: Job interview for a Training Manager role after I had been out of the training industry for 5 years.

Prior to the interview, I periodically thought through what I would consider the best Training Manager should be like. What would be the values of a Training Manager?
They would lead by example, have great time management skills, be consistent in the communication and management skills, be dedicated to providing the best service possible to their clients and be well groomed.

What would their traits be? They would be professional, approachable, and empathetic. They would encourage a "keep it simple" mentality to their team. They would be logical.
Emotionally they would exude calmness and passion.

If I acted in this manner, in this role, what would I expect the outcome to be? Excited to impart my extensive knowledge, enthusiastic as I would be provided with an avenue to demonstrate my passion for the training industry, proud to lead a great team - I would be an awesome Training Manager.

I entered the values, traits, emotions and outcome that I believed would portray the ideal "Training Manager" identity in TIC. I reviewed, fine tuned and repetitively thought about how I would be as a Training Manager. Two days later as I walked out of the interview where I portrayed myself as that professional, confident, dedicated Training Manager, I knew that I would be in this role soon.

How do you think I felt when I was offered the role with a starting salary of just shy of 10% MORE than the original offer. WOW!

I used this same philosophy when I was approached three months later by the CIO to write the IT Corporate Training Strategy.
