With this app you don't need to buy metal detectors because this gives you all the features of a metal detector for free inside your phone. The easy to use interface makes it usable for each and every person. There is a guide on the start of the app which takes the user through the basic features of the app.

Important:
Metal Detector app require you to have a built in magnetic field sensor in your phone. If the metal detector app does not work, please check your phone's specifications. When the app does not work properly, it means your device's sensor is damaged. To initialize the sensor readings or re calibrate the sensor, point your phone towards the sky and move it making an 8 figure shape.
The accuracy of Metal Detector depends on the quality of your phone's magnetometer sensor.

Scientific Aspects of metal detector:
This metal detector detects magnetic field. The values are show in micro Tesla (µT). The thresholds for finding the objects are as follows:
- 0 to 55 µT (No Significant Magnetic field for a device to be nearby)
- 55 to 90 µT (Magnetic field emitted by metal is in this range)
- 90 to 140 µT (Cameras and other Electronic device emit magnetic field in this range)
- Greater than 140 µT (High magnetic field. Either a magnet is close or the device is very close to the object emitting the field)
If the device is kept close to a magnetic field for to long the sensor will get charged. To get it calibrated you need to shake the phone which will normalize the readings of metal detector in your phone.

Note: The app works best detecting metals from up to 15 cm away.
