Word Raiders is a reading and writing game app for children aged 7 and up.
The proceeds from the purchase of this app will benefit the work of LegaKids Stiftungs-GmbH.

Lurs, the old word robber, wants to defeat you again. But you will definitely be able to take as many words as possible from him!

Background:

Children love this game based on the well-tried "hangman principle" and also deal with letters, sequences of words and word images. They "select" inwardly various options for the letters that have not yet been found, try and reject them and train common structures of German words.

The letter fields colored according to syllables offer additional orientation. The syllable structure makes the guessing process easier for the children. You will experience in a playful way that it is worth recognizing and using the syllables.

How word robber works:

Guess as many words as possible! You can see the number of letters and the length of the syllables. But be careful: Lurs, the reading and spelling monster, is fed with incorrectly guessed letters. This makes it bigger and more dangerous ...

Select a letter on the game keyboard. If it is contained in the word you are looking for, it will appear in the letter field - if not, Lurs will be larger. If you find the right word, Lurs disappears and you get points. But be careful: after seven wrong letters, Lurs eats the word!

You have five minutes. At the end you can register yourself in the highscore list.

Tip 1:

The syllable colors help you search for letters, because each syllable has exactly one self-expression (which can sometimes consist of two letters like au or ei or have dots like the umlauts ä, ö and ü).

Tip 2:

After the self-sounds, it's best to try letters that often appear: r, n, s, t, l ...

And take your time to think about it - it's more worthwhile than randomly typing.

Note on the difficulty levels:

At the easiest level, children can experience and practice the basic structure of German two-silver in a targeted manner: the self-expression of the second syllable is almost always an e. However, this e is pronounced very differently (such as in father, sun, run). The middle level also offers frequent three- and four-syllable words and if you are really looking for the challenge, you can venture into the difficult level with many additional keywords!
