In this post, I am going to show you how to install The Shortcut on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install The Shortcut using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "The Shortcut" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "The Shortcut" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

The Shortcut app is an extension of The Safe Path app. It has 1,738 sentences divided in three tenses – PRESENT, PAST, and FUTURE. All sentences are presented in both audio and written format. It holds the 12 verb tenses, active and passive voice, regular, irregular, and modal verbs, indicative and subjunctive moods, in both simple and complex sentences. The Shortcut brings longer sentences, with more Information Questions than The Safe Path app does. The sentences are presented at a rather faster pace, allowing you to speak faster and more fluently as you use the audio feed to improve pronunciation and intonation through simultaneous repetition. It also brings a larger number of complex sentences compared with The Safe Path app. It does not bring the Mental Substitutions, which are present in The Safe Path, in order to let you exercise the oral part of The Safe Path only.

The Shortcut lets you exercise your listening, speaking, and reading skills. It also offers you all the sentences in writing, so that you can check spelling, word order, and grammar.
You will listen to real-speed English, work with useful sentences, and be in control of your progress, as you learn how your mind elaborates structures to give you correct and direct sentences. The HELP button of The Safe Path app was adapted and improved so that you may learn the First Law of English to elaborate sentences, in case you do not know it.

There are 180 affirmative sentences, 180 confirmation questions, 180 short answers, and 1,198 information questions. All these 1,738 sentences are accessed either following the Safe Path or at random. You can play them as many times as you want. You can start by listening or reading them. You are able to go along the way you like it. You are free to challenge yourself, play games, take a shortcut, or just feel comfortable enjoying your progress as you study and practice your English.

The HELP button is accessed on the labyrinth screen, where the #s are.

The PRESENT has 10 modules of sentences, the PAST has 6, and the FUTURE has 2. Each module has 10 sentences. Each sentence offers an average of another 10 sentences as you walk The Safe Path. There is a total of 1,738 sentences.

The Shortcut is easy to use, safe to learn, and nice to play.
