There are several treatment modalities used for obstructive sleep apnea, such as continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), oral appliance, and multilevel surgical procedures. Alex Suarez, a didgeridoo instructor, reported that he and some of his students experienced reduced daytime sleepiness and snoring after practising with this instrument for several months. This might be due to training of the muscles of the upper airway, including tongue and oropharynx. Because the dilator muscles of the upper airway play a critical role in maintaining an open airway during sleep, researchers have explored exercises and other airway training that target oral cavity and oropharyngeal structures as a method to treat OSA. These methods are called “oropharyngeal exercises”, “myofunctional therapy”, or “orofacial myofunctional therapy”.
For success in the myofunctional therapy, consistent exercise everyday is necessary. In order to facilitate self-training, the application is designed to urge yourself to achieve progress, record everyday, and become a habit. Then it might be helpful to improve snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
This application is designed with “MIT app inventor 2”. It might be not good enough and any suggestion is welcome.

Warning:
Any one with obstructive sleep apnea should be assessed, diagnosed, and recommended treatment by a physician. This program only provides a reference for assisting self-exercise records. It is still necessary to be evaluated by a physician before use. Do not rely on this training and ignore the other ways to improve obstructive sleep apnea.
