Alasita is the party of prosperity, where believers buy items or property (cars, houses, money, food, computers, etc.) as miniature human living needs. Part of the festival is the ritual of thanks, ch'alla of objects by yatiris and blessing in the Catholic church at 12 noon on 24 January. It is a custom in the framework of reciprocity and exchange of Illas and Ispallas (miniatures of fertility), inherited from the Tiwanaku civilization.

Alasita population originally celebrated on December 21, summer solstice, or QhapajRaymi willkakuti time in which the exchange of Illas is used. During colonial times, this fair fie changed to October 20 and then to 24 January.
