Why?
You read a book or article, you make notes & highlights, but in a few weeks you can't recall anything, sounds familiar? What about the great insights from the book you read last year? In the meantime, your notes stack keeps growing and growing

What if there would be a simple process of putting critical insights from your notes to your long-term memory?

This is exactly what Resurface is solving.

How?

Whenever you feel like the content of your note is valuable - that you would like to put into your mind forever - add "@" tag to it. Optionally you can point Resurface to your notebooks without using tags.

That's it!

Oh and it works with highlights too! so that only parts of the note are imported.

In the background "@" tag (or chosen notebook) will tell Resurface App to import the note & highlight as a Spiral (yes, @ resembles spiral a bit).

Resurface Spiral is a spaced repetition mechanism that by default is based on the Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve. Meaning it will resurface your note for you the next day, then in 5 days, 15, 30 and 60 days (Pattern Editor is coming soon)

For each note, you can add a Recall Question (think of it as a flashcards/Anki for your notes & highlights) or optionally you can set "Use note titles as Recall questions" to have them automatically.

Then you can use "Review Deck" feature to use your notes just as Anki Deck.

So that instead of seeing the note or highlight itself - you will first need to put your neurons to work and try to describe the insight yourself first. This way you strengthen the connection in your brain and aim for keeping it forever.

Another feature of Resurface App is Priming Effect. Same thing that Ads are using to invade our minds - but this time it feeds your subconscious mind with good things.

If you want to generate wallpaper from your note or highlight - just add "#" tag to it - that's it! and Resurface App will handle cycling it with other # marked notes.

As humans we have a fantastic underrated tool at our disposal, our brain - make sure you feed it well.

What's Next?
There are plenty of new features coming to Resurface. Currently working on more Premium Features :
- Adaptive Pattern
- Sync
- Watch Support
