Welcome to Cloud Control for LIFX

The main purpose of this app is offering a simple and lean interface with everything in one screen while also bypassing LIFX' LAN API.
The LAN API seems to struggle under certain conditions and becomes unreliable or doesn't work at all. Although the LIFX app may be unable to control the bulbs often they are still connected to the cloud and can be controlled via the HTTP API (=the cloud, hence the name of this app) just fine. Because of this Cloud Control for LIFX uses the HTTP API exclusively. This limits the functionality and adds a small lag but in return Cloud Control for LIFX might still work when most other apps don't.

With this app you can select and change colors, whites, brightness and turn your bulb(s) on and off. The interface is very simple and supports fast switching between single lights or groups of lights.

Premium Features:

Daylight Simulation
Simulate the sun in your home! Adjust the white temperature and brightness of your lights throughout the day to match your circadian rhythm. Natural light isn't always the same, why should your indoor lights be?

Home Security
Let your lights turn on and off randomly while you're away to make it look as if somebody is always at home! Use your LIFX to keep burglars away!

Wall Switch
The lean interface of Cloud Control for LIFX makes it ideal to serve as a wall switch replacement on a spare phone attached to the wall. This feature enables a fullscreen switch that is displayed after ~30s of inactivity.

Cloud Control for LIFX requires a LIFX remote access token to function which can be generated at https://cloud.lifx.com

Disclamer: This app doesn't collect, store or share any sensitive information beyond what's necessary for the functionality of the app. The LIFX remote access token can be revoked at cloud.lifx.com at any time, rendering any stored information of this app useless.

- Response time improved

This decreases the response time by ~50% but there is no confirmation anymore whether the command was received and executed by the light. If you suspect a light of being offline, press the "Refresh" button at the bottom of the main screen to check its state.
