Step By Step Guide To Install AU Alumni using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. Established in 1926 by the Madras University Act to serve the entire linguistic region of Andhra as a residential teaching-cum-affiliating University, Andhra University is not just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country but also the first residential multi-disciplinary University. The 90 year old institution had Sir C.R. Reddy as its Founder Vice chancellor, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who later became the President of India, as the second Vice-Chancellor followed by Dr. V.S. Krishna. On the foundations laid by these three visionaries the university has now become one of the premier institutions in the country.
The University has the distinction of having 6 Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Awardees, 2 Padma Vibhushan Awardees, 3 Padma Shri Awardees and One Sahitya Academy Awardee among others in the ranks of its academic staff and alumni
The alumni of the University occupied important positions in government administration and research organizations… like Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Ministers for Central and State, Governors to State and RBI, Judiciary of Supreme Court, High Courts, Bar Council of India, CEOs of various public and private sector organizations, Scientists, Chairman of UGC, Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of Universities and so on. Many Professors of the University have been appointed as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the APSCHE and nearly 40 Vice-Chancellors and 3 Chancellors to lead Universities in various parts of the country studied here. A good number of alumni settled and working in countries like USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Africa, Germany, France, Russia, Bangkok, and Malaysia. Some of the leading infrastructure and manufacturing companies are founded by alumni of this university.
The Andhra University Alumni Association (AAA) is the apex body constituting all sister departmental alumni associations. Every departmental Alumni Association actively engages with the central body in enrolment of members, and persuading them to contribute for the development of the department, and current students. The AAA is governed by an Executive Committee (the details furnished elsewhere) and the general body meets once a year.
Alumni have been active for long been contributing their mite for the infrastructure development and equipping laboratories of the University. Shri. Y.S.R. Venkata Rao through their trust has liberally donated Rs.2.5 crores for construction of 300 capacity state-of-the-art auditorium in the name of his beloved father Dr. Y.V.S.Murthy who was an alumnus of Chemical Engineering Department. Alumni of 1981-85 batch of Engineering have donated Rs 70 lakhs for construction of 6-bed hospital at North campus. Sri G Mallikarjuna Rao, an alumnus of this university has donated Rs. 10 lakhs for construction of Andhra University Teachers’ Association office. An alumnus of the Department of Chemistry made Andhra University a shareholder of his property deed before he passed away. The University received Rs.65 lakhs on that count and utilized the funds for the construction of students’ hostel. Another alumnus from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences contributed Rs 4.5 Crore for the construction of a new building for the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Scores of alumni instituted prizes and medals, scholarships to meritorious students, donated books to the departmental libraries and supported infrastructural facilities in respective departments besides supporting the students in other ways. Some of the departmental alumni associations have been registered, and they regularly interact, motivate, guide, encourage and help the students to shape their careers.
